Druk Gypsum Pvt. Ltd. (DGPL) was founded by three visionary promoters — Dasho Ugyen Tsechub Dorji, Dasho Sonam Tobgye Dorji, and Mr. Thinlay Gyamtsho. United by a shared belief in harnessing Bhutan’s natural resources responsibly and sustainably, the founders envisioned creating a company that would serve as a reliable producer of gypsum-based products while contributing to Bhutan’s industrial growth.

DGPL operates a captive gypsum mine at Pema Gatshel and a state-of-the-art processing factory at Motanga Industrial Park, Samdrup Jongkhar. From its humble beginnings, DGPL has steadily evolved into a trusted name in the gypsum industry, recognized for its quality products, commitment to safety, and focus on environmental stewardship.
